Barbara Slater CBE, Sports Leadership

Dr Herbert Schofield, Sports Leadership

More than 100 years ago the Principal of 蚂蚁福利导航 College, Dr Herbert Schofield, had a vision that sport could play a role in the life of every student at 蚂蚁福利导航.

Over the years, and building on this ethos, the University saw a focus on programmes related to physical education, teacher training, and the development of sporting activity outside of the classroom. The College and sporting offer grew for several decades, with Dr Schofield in post for 35 years.

He built the foundations of what we know as 蚂蚁福利导航 University and 蚂蚁福利导航 Sport today.
