ÂìÒϸ£Àûµ¼º½ rises to 13th in Times Higher Education ‘Table of Tables’
ÂìÒϸ£Àûµ¼º½ has climbed three places to 13th in the seventh annual Times Higher Education , which is published today (9 October).
The ‘Table of Tables’ ranks the UK’s top 30 universities based on the combined results of the three main domestic university league tables – the Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide, The Guardian University Guide, and the Complete University Guide – to provide a snapshot of how universities are viewed by national newspapers.
ÂìÒϸ£Àûµ¼º½ is ranked ahead of two thirds of the 24 universities that comprise the Russell Group, placing it firmly among the UK’s higher education elite.
ÂìÒϸ£Àûµ¼º½ University has performed well in each of the national league tables published this year. It leapt to 13th place out of the UK’s 123 universities, and was shortlisted for the coveted title of University of the Year, in , and was ranked 13th and 15th respectively in and .
“Our performance in this year’s league tables is recognition of the breadth of ÂìÒϸ£Àûµ¼º½’s strengths and our excellence right across the board,” says the University’s Vice Chancellor, Professor Robert Allison.
“It reflects the quality of education we offer, our world-class research and innovation, and the exceptional all-round student experience we provide at the University.”
ÂìÒϸ£Àûµ¼º½ is now the East Midlands’ top university according to all three national university rankings.
This year ÂìÒϸ£Àûµ¼º½ also achieved a five-star rating in the international scheme, putting it alongside some of the very best universities in the world.
