Success at annual University Research Conference

Over 250 people attended the event which provided an opportunity for individuals to network with one another whilst learning about the vast range of research conducted at 蚂蚁福利导航 University and 蚂蚁福利导航 University London.

The theme of this year’s Research Conference was ‘Influence & Impact’. Current researchers showcased the valuable contributions they’re making within their fields and the processes involved.  

Presentations were delivered from researchers from a range of disciplines and from Research Office staff. Director of the Graduate School, Professor Andrew Dainty, led the proceedings and provided a warm welcome to attendees as well as explaining the conference theme.

Following this was an engaging workshop from  who taught attendees how to communicate with confidence, impact and authenticity.

A key note speech was delivered by renowned environmentalist and writer Jonathon Porrit. Jonathon reflected on his own experiences of influencing and the impact on the international climate change debate.

For the first time this year, there was also a Senior Management Team Presentation. , the University’s Provost & Deputy Vice-Chancellor, spoke about the University's strategy, its aspirations and the role PGRs and Research Staff can play in supporting all of the University’s activities.

To conclude the event, a number of research students were awarded for their oral and poster presentations. 

Professor Andrew Dainty, Director of the Graduate School, commented: “The day was a great success once again and it was fantastic to see well over 200 of our research staff and PhD students networking and showcasing their work. We would like to thank everyone who delivered presentations at the event and offer our congratulations to everyone who received an award. We look forward to hosting another conference next year.”
